Effective October 1, 2024, in accordance with Illinois Revised Statute 55 ILCS 5/3-5018, GIS, having performed a cost study, Kane County Board Resolution 24-362 was passed on September 10, 2024, increasing the GIS fee. The current Twenty-Six Dollars ($26) collected by the Recorder’s Office will be increased to Forty-Eight Dollars ($48). The Recorder will keep One Dollar ($1) and the remaining Forty-Seven Dollars ($47) will be deposited into the GIS Fee Fund for the continued advancement of the countywide Geographic Information System.
Effective October 1, 2024, the cost to record a standard document will be $99. Prices effective for non-standard documents will be posted at our website.
