KANE COUNTY ACCEPTS ELECTRONIC RECORDING OF DOCUMENTS

Kane County is electronically recording (eRecording) documents. Documents that originate on paper are currently scanned to the Recorder and are entered into our recording system. We currently do not accept plats for electronic recording.

eRecording expedites document recording, fee collection, image retention, data processing and elimination of paper. eRecording allows the office to electroncially record documents via the Internet. This technology provides secure and efficient recording of documents without visiting the office.

Benefits of eRecording include:

  • Processing of documents is reduced to minutes
  • Cost savings in postage, overnight shipping and delayed processing
  • Fewer rejections and faster corrections – eRecording eliminates rejections for incorrect fees – rejected documents can be resubmitted in hours vs days

Kane County accepts documents from the following eRecording vendors. Please contact any of the vendors to compare prices and begin eRecording with the Kane County, Illinois Recorder.
